Most people that visit this blog do so because they are car enthusiasts. And it’s likely you are too! You are someone that likes to learn about the latest trends in the motor world. You’re probably also someone that enjoys improving the performance and styling of your car.

So, it might come as something of a shock to you to suggest that you swap four wheels for two! No, I’m not suggesting you sell your car and just get around on a motorcycle. What I am saying is that you should get a bike and use that as well as your car! There are many advantages and things to love about motorbikes. Let me share with you some of them:

Riding a motorcycle beats getting stuck in traffic

One of the clear benefits of motorbikes is their compact size. It’s easy enough to weave through traffic, but it’s impossible to do the same thing in a car!

Motorcycles often make the same road journeys quicker than cars. Some of you might think that’s because some riders belt it down the road at high speeds. But, the real reason is down to not getting stuck in traffic!

You might not think it. But, it’s perfectly legal to do so on the road. Filtering, as it’s known, is taught and encouraged when you learn to ride a motorcycle.

You get to wear lots of cool biker gear

Let’s face it. When you get in your car, you don’t need to dress in a particular way. It’s a different case when you’re riding a motorbike. Don’t forget that you don’t have the luxury of metal and glass to protect you.

With that in mind, one can wear all kinds of cool, protective gear before getting on their bikes. From Arai helmets to Daytona boots, you now have a reason to dress to impress on the road!

Motorbikes are easier to service and repair than cars

One thing we can all agree on is that cars are complex beasts. They feature an array of electronics and mechanical gadgets. What’s more, they are a royal pain in the behind to maintain at the best of times!

Thankfully, motorcycles are simpler to service and repair. The design of motorbike engines hasn’t changed a whole lot over the years. Plus, you don’t need a team of people to help you remove a motorcycle engine. In fact, on some bikes, you could take it off the frame by yourself.

Going for a blast up a scenic A-road has never been so much fun

You don’t need me to tell you there are plenty of scenic routes that you can drive on. Sure, they make nice touring roads for car enthusiasts. Still, imagine the fun and exhilaration you’ll enjoy by going on those same roads on a motorbike!

Even if it’s raining, you’ll still have a more fun and memorable experience on two wheels. And probably better engine performance and efficiency too!

So, should you get a motorcycle?

In a word: yes! I can guarantee you that you won’t fall out of love with your car. A motorcycle is just another fun mechanical toy to take out on the road!
